I’ve got one free Thesis Framework license ($87 usd value) to give away. If you don’t know what it is, it’s a highly flexible and SEO (search engine optimized) wordpress framework / theme that helps power SolarCrash. I’ve already got a ‘developers’ license, so one lucky reader can also benefit from all that Thesis has to offer.
Just leave a comment and subscribe to this blog (enter your email in the box on the right) and I’ll randomly pick an entry in a few days.
And yes, I’ll start regularly blogging again here soon.
I think I’ve been sporting this theme for two years now, and plan on transitioning to something new in the coming week.
I was archiving it just in case, and figured I’d also post the wordpress theme here for anyone who’d like to use it or tweak it.
I’m calling it pomocrash – as the bulk of the work was done by Adam of pomomusings.com
I adapted it by adding technically a third widgetized sidebar above the two column sidebars, removing some of the icons so it’s a bit quicker, taking out some of the shading for a cleaner look, and some slight font adjustments in the template.
There’s a psd file that you can use to edit the header if you’d like. I’d also recommend installing ‘subscribe to comments‘ and ‘twitter-tools‘ plugins for starters. The random photos on the sidebar is through a flickr badge inserted as a widget.

Hope this helps, feel free to let me know if you’ve got questions.

I think it’s been about six-months since I’ve began dabbling in blogging via wordpress. I must say that it’s been frustrating at times figuring out how things work since I’m not as technically savvy as I thought I was.
Overall, thought it’s not all perfect, I think the learning curve has finally leveled out and things should be smooth going forward. As much as I love google products, it sure is better than what blogger.com is offering.
I thought I’d share the bling that’s been powering Solar Crash
Themes (I’m drawn to three column themes, and update every few months)
- Cleaker
- Genki
- Mandingo current theme in use
Ads that help pay for my webhosting

or network with me via facebook here.
Peace!
testing, testing. I’ve just upgraded this blog to the latest release of wordpress v2.2
I’m hoping this stops the theme from reverting back to the default theme at random times.
Technology can be such a pain sometimes. I’m still figuring out how to make the most of it without it bogging me down at the same time.
I just added a couple of my feeds to the sidebar.
Flickr badge allows for a glance at your photos online randomly or chronologically. I’ve got it set on random right now.
And Del.icio.us if you don’t know already is a great online bookmarking/tagging tool. Using ‘link rolls‘ the latest links as i scour the web are dynamically placed on the sidepanel as well.

I’ve been waiting for ages to find a new home for my reflections… and looks like here it is. It’ll be a while before i fully transition… (I’m waiting for the blogger->voxtropolis migration tool) as for now i’ll just be fiddling with features with random posts.
Until then see A Disciple’s Journal for the archives.
Thanks so much to those who have worked so hard to put this all together!
