Flow – Our global water crisis

Our family just watched the documentary Flow. Wired magazine declared it ‘the scariest film at the sundance film festival). The growing water crisis has been on my mind for a number of years and it will be an issue that I plan on rallying more resources behind.

We dedicated all the proceeds of one of our solar crash events to living water international, and my faith community takes part in the advent conspiracy (channeling our christmas gift money towards providing clean water), but I still feel like there’s so much more we can do.

Are we too late? Can or will the church make a difference here?

I've been at Imago for 3 years, but have started a few side projects.

I needed motivation to start running, so I raised some money for LWI by running half marathons. 2 years later, I'm still a runner and I was able to help fund a sanitation project in Ghana.

This Christmas I start http://www.GiveAWell.com with some friends. The money ends up with LWI, but it's cool to connect people to a specific project.

Hey Jeremy, giveawell looks great – my only issue with lwi last time around was I wasn’t able to coordinate the exact village we wanted the well in as we wanted to also partner with another organization on the ground in uganada.

i really gotta get running myself… i’m getting totally out of shape – how long did it take you to work up to a half-marathon? the water crisis might be just enough to motivate me to get going…
