It's artsy. Rob is artsy. I am artsy. I get it. Some don't. Don't buy the book if you don't want to. But there is way more than $35 of wake up calls, biblical truths, and insight to last a long time. Lunchbox and others have the same trivial critiques of Bell, it's nauseating. Not every pastor or person has to present the exact 3 point message every time. That's part of the problem with modern day christianity. We want formulas and pastors who will break life down in a coherent, nice way with the Roman Road and the 8 steps to a better more sanctified life and all the nice pre-packaged dogma we expect, and of course it must AGREE with our own perspective, or else it's just heresy. Rob is a breath of fresh air. Jesus is the whole focus of his work - even though he doesn't say the name 'Jesus' in every single presentation of the gospel...Step back and take on a new perspective. I think it was an enjoyable read, lots of snippets of insights, but I'm not sure what to do about it all. Then again, if it was a longer book, I probably wouldn't know what to do with it either.
