Perhaps, we look at every person we meet, and see them as the very person we were supposed to encounter. Whether it is just a connection of the eyes, or a new friendship, that they were sent to be a point of light in our lives, not matter how small that light is.

I believe that every person I meet, I have met for a reason, for me to put some sort of light into their lives. A smile, a hello, a hug, a word of encouragement. We pass by thousands of people in our weeks/months/year that we don't connect, we don't look at, we don't acknowledge, yet they are there. So when there is a connection made, through eye contact, or a hello, or how was your day, that is the chance that has been given to you to be the light to them, that they may be to you.

Does that make any sense?
