Hey Lon,

I know what the artists mean about exposing the soul. And even though it was kinda scary, ultimately isn't that what people hope for? Artists are always looking to make meaningful connections through their work, to provoke thinking, and it can only be done by showing who we really are and how we view the world.

On a personal note, I was encouraged by the feedback left in my guestbook, and it's really affirming to know that people can respond emotionally to one's artwork...including abstract art made of wax! Continue to provide a space for the artists to create and to share, they'll be encouraged, and will be empowered to produce even better, more culturally-provocative work.

One last thing: the venue/vibe was great (minus the heat) - not only did my friends come, but they felt comfortable enough to invite their non-asian, non-Christian friends.

You've got great instincts, Lon. Thanks again for putting this together.
