Jake Belder September 19, 2008 at 7:54 am: If I had seen this chart five or six years ago and it looked like this, I would have been quite surprised. But to see it like this today, I’m actually not surprised at all. We’ve been fed so much information since 9/11, and having to sort out facts from hypotheses from pure lies has become increasingly difficult.

Jake Belder September 19, 2008 at 11:31 am: That’s true. Just thinking about it now, though, I think it’s significant to realize as well that more than half the world’s population is concentrated in areas which might be more “sympathetic” (for lack of better term) to an organization like Al Qaeda.
