The Tangible Kingdom

I posted some thoughts on The Tangible Kingdom a while back, a book by Hugh Halter and Matt Smay of Adullam.

They’ve created a site dedicated for it as well with a teaser video and the first chapters available for download.

Here’s one practical thought I really liked…

What if every church was able to get every person to commit 5 percent of their income toe the general church fund, but mobilized the other 5 percent of their income to their communities?

The book’s out now. Go get it.

I think they stole that idea from us! Ok, probably not…but that is what we do. We encourage people to give 5% to Mosaic and then use the other 5% or more to meet the needs of people around them, in the community. Everyone is encouraged to set up specific giving bank accounts.

We should dialogue soon! I think there a lot of thoughts you bring up that I’d love to talk about and refine together!

You rock, big bro.
