Several years ago I carved out a wooden cross and burnt our names on it declaring that we were joined by Christ.
Not long after, I dropped it and broke it… and I’m the piece that broke off.
How incredibly disturbing.
Today I’m reminded that I’m damned… in every way you can think of it.
doomed, lost, lost forever, lifeless, broken, despicable, hopeless, damned…
…apart from Christ.

why don’t you just glue it back on?
i’ve been meaning to for years, but never got around to it. i’ll do it soon… it just disturbs me every time i look at it!
