The Scriptures…

I’ve just been thrilled reading the Scriptures recently. I think it might be because I’m not currently in school and studying the Bible. Rather I’ve simply been allowing for it to speak again.
The audacity of some of the things written in these sacred scriptures are just mind-blowing. It’s sad that so often the academia of seminary can just suck the life out of me. More disappointing thoughts on this later.
As for now, reading through Luke and Acts again abhas been absolutely phenomenal.

I read Luke/Acts a few weeks ago too and had the same experience. They ripped me up. So glad that God is speaking to you instead of you trying to dissect His message.

Hey Dave, yes, the scriptures are phenomenal! sometimes it’s so easy to forget. especially when i’m reading hundreds of other books… and then i realize how incredible and real and true and life-giving the scriptures are, i’m always floored!
