You stubborn weary child
June 11, 2007
I’m not all that into the Christian music scene, but there’s this song from a few years back that I’ve always loved by Sixpence none the richer. It’s called you’re here.
Here’s an audio clip but it doesn’t quite get to my favorite part of the song.
The second chorus sings
I can hear Your voice inviting…
“I’m here, I’ll never leave your side
My stubborn weary child
I am still here
Please let Me lead you on
Your race is already won
I am your God”
I am that stubborn weary child.
* Actually that’s Stellar after wrestling through birth, but it might as well be me sometimes.
