Your thoughts on speaking with power and humility remind me of the dilemma Paul faced when the folks in Lystra thought he was a god.  His response was to insist he was a mere mortal (Acts 14).  Herod enjoyed the accolades and started to believe the hype himself leading to his death (Acts 12:19f).
