You’re a piece of work…
April 6, 2007
Continuing our series on Creativity, and the last post on being the ‘workmanship’ of God the Master Artist, let me introduce you to someone special…
She has 300 bones. Yet no knee caps.
She can’t sit or stand on her own. Yet her thighs are becoming stronger than concrete.
She is incapable of saying a word. Yet she is able to replace a million blood cells every single second.
She has the most ridiculous smile.
She has her mother eyes, and her father’s genetic disorder (G6PD).
And of the 6.5 billion people who walk the earth today, and of the 90 billion people who have ever existed, not one person has ever had the identical DNA, fingerprints, personality, strengths, and creative gift mix that she possesses.
Her name is Stellar Voxanna, and she is my daughter.
She is an original work of art.
And if you don’t know it yet.
So are you.

beautiful!
I was thinking this just today. how perfect Max is. he was created perfectly…every part of him…he was CREATED uniquely exactly as God meant to. That is so huge…so profound when I think of how the world may look at him as imperfect…as not whole. God intended for Max to be exactly how he is. We are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Beautiful post, beatuiful baby! I’d never heard of this disorder but I think it’s awesome that both of you were born in such a time with so much information. It was a wow to me that while a virus can trigger the disorder, the cure for the virus could as well. You two must really have to watch her closely and educate the rest of us continually. What a beautiful blessing…oh, and don’t blink, it goes by way too fast.

thanks folks.
It’s amazing how often we compare and think how some people are more wonderfully made than others.
and taking that further, it’s amazing how it seems almost every child starts off as extraordinarily beautiful, but somehow we forget that as we/they grow up, and a real ordinariness seems to take over…?
we’re such forgetful creatures, i think we need to continuously remind each other of how magnificently and wonderfully we were created.
Yvz, thanks for chiming in hun!
