Leaders see people differently…

eye reflection

Leaders see people as they really are, as God’s workmanship crafted with a unique purpose in human history.

Whether a believer or not, leaders see every human being as a reflection of the Creator, brimming with potential. Leaders look into people’s hearts and lives and help reveal to them their beauty and worth.

What do you really see when you look into the eyes of those around you?

(and yes, from the above photo, apparently leaders wear makeup as well).

Do leaders need to have long eye-lashes? The dentist’s assistants always complimented me on mine… yeah, wierd I know.

So how does the principle above change your practice in life? What things do you do that some might not? What things don’t you do that some might?

haha, I got long lashes as well… oddly. I can’t believe we’re discussing this.

I naively think people are more than they say they are. This is often fairly natural for me, but sometimes I need to be intentional about it. I find people have so many voices telling them how much more they need to be (beautiful, intelligent, spiritual, etc), when they already are extraordinary individuals.

It’s easy for me to stereotype people sometimes, and reminding myself that God sees people differently, and so I need to see people differently changes the entire tone of my conversations, and sometimes leads to post-conversation apologies.

Thanks for keeping me personal Parke.

Thanks for taking the time to get personal, dude. It’s always a struggle in these subjects, but it does make things much more powerful, as with your statement.

My current struggle is how to inspire a vision for the things of God that could be. Many are willing to help, some are willing to serve in ways that hurt, but few are willing to shape life for others in intentional, creative ways.
